Soundtrack Intertextual References

My Case Study on Soundtrack Intertextual References between 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly' and 'Kill Bill 2.'

  1. Excellent on identifying inter-textual references. Tarantino is famous for his continuous references to film classics or B films. Some critics find this irritating but for many audiences Tarantino's film references increase appeal and add additional meaning to the film. Thus Tarantino is called a post-modernist director; he plunders ideas from older films and develops or challenges them, thus keeping genres dynamic. (Django Unchained..visual references to "Gone with the Wind").

In order to ensure a top mark for this case study I suggest you endeavour to upload the clips from both films where the same music is played. The clips are on the power point.
